Terrazzo does not ask who you are. There is no account, no sign-up, and no profile — so there is very little for this page to disclose. What follows is the whole of it.
The short version. We collect no personal information. The app has no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no analytics SDKs. Nothing you do in Terrazzo is sold, shared, or linked to you.
What stays on your device
Your solved mosaics, streaks, warm-up progress, and settings are stored on your iPhone and nowhere else. We cannot read them. Deleting the app deletes them, which also means they are gone for good — there is no backup on our side to restore from.
What leaves your device
Terrazzo downloads each day's puzzle from our server at
cdn.brelsfordsoftware.com. Those requests carry what every web
request carries: your IP address, the time, and which file was asked for.
Our host, Cloudflare, keeps these ordinary server logs briefly to deliver
the files and to absorb abuse. We do not build profiles from them, and they
are not joined to anything else.
The daily puzzle is identical for every player in the world, so which puzzle you requested says nothing about you.
Optional gameplay statistics
Settings has a switch called Share anonymous play patterns. It is off unless you turn it on. When on, the app records small facts about how puzzles play — how long a solve took, how many pieces were placed, whether a hint was used — with no identifier of any kind attached. There is no device ID, no advertising ID, and nothing that could be traced back to a person or a phone.
We use these only to make future mosaics fairer: to notice that a Thursday was harder than intended, or that a warm-up step is losing people. Turning the switch off stops the recording and discards anything pending.
In this version these statistics stay on your device. The app records them but does not transmit them. If a future update begins sending them — in the same anonymous form, with no identifiers — we will update this page and the date at the top before it does.
Purchases
TERRAZZO+ is billed by Apple. Payment happens entirely inside Apple's system: we never see your card, your billing address, or your Apple ID. We learn only whether this device currently holds an active subscription.
Game Center
Leaderboards and friend comparisons are optional and are provided by Apple's Game Center. If you use them, your participation is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one. Declining Game Center takes nothing else away.
Notifications
The daily reminder, if you enable it, is scheduled by your own iPhone at the time you choose. No server is involved and no one is notified that you turned it on.
Children
Terrazzo is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, children included. We do not knowingly collect data from children because we do not knowingly collect data from anybody.
Your choices
- Gameplay statistics: the switch in Settings, off by default.
- Game Center: decline it, or sign out in iOS Settings.
- Reminders: turn them off in Settings or in iOS.
- Everything else: deleting the app removes all local data.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or erase on request. If you would like that confirmed in writing, write to us and we will confirm it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will update the date above and say what changed. We will not begin collecting something new and quietly amend this page.
