What is a mosaic daily puzzle game?

It is a puzzle you build from coloured stones, once a day. Terrazzo gives everyone the same frame, and you fit stones into it until the day's Laws hold.

How does a daily mosaic puzzle play?

You open the day's frame and see a set of stones. Each stone has a colour, and some carry a mark. You place them one at a time until the frame is full.

There is no timer and no pressure to rush. You can stop halfway and return later. The puzzle waits for you.

What are the Laws?

The Laws are the rules of the day, written in plain words. Terrazzo uses three kinds: Kinship, Solitude and the Vein.

A day may use one Law or several. The full rules are in how to play Terrazzo.

What is the picture at the end?

When every Law holds, the colours settle into a picture of something real. A short story comes with it. The picture is the reward, and it is also a quiet check that you finished well.

This is what makes a mosaic puzzle feel different from a grid of numbers. You are making something, not only clearing something.

Why does a mosaic suit a calm daily habit?

A mosaic is built slowly, stone by stone. That pace fits a few quiet minutes in the morning or an evening wind-down. Nothing flashes, and nothing asks you to hurry.

The puzzle also ends. You finish it, enjoy the picture, and close the app. If you like that shape of game, daily puzzle games on iPhone covers the idea in more detail.

Is it free, and is it only on Apple devices?

The daily puzzle is free to play, with no ads and no account. Terrazzo runs on iPhone and iPad only.

TERRAZZO+ holds the archive of past mosaics, Stillwater and Solve DNA. It is free for everyone for now. Past days open with keys earned by solving the daily puzzle.

What if I get stuck?

Every day has three hints. A nudge arrives at 00:00 UTC, the Laws in plain words at 08:00 UTC, and the answer at 16:00 UTC. Try the nudge first.

The leaderboard counts unaided solves only. That means no hints, no salvages and no seat marks. Using a hint is fine, and it simply keeps that solve off the board.
