What should I play if I like nonogram apps on iPhone?

What is a nonogram?
A nonogram is a grid puzzle with number clues beside each row and column. The numbers tell you how long the runs of filled cells are. You fill and rule out cells until a picture appears.
Some apps call these picture-grid puzzles. Many people enjoy them because the logic is quiet and the result is a small image.
How is Terrazzo similar?
Both are logic puzzles on a grid. Both let you deduce your way forward by ruling things out. Both end with a picture.
The difference is what you place. In Terrazzo you fit coloured stones into a frame, and the day's Laws decide where each can go. There are three Laws.
- Kinship. Same-coloured stones that touch form a region, and the regions must match the sizes shown on the frame's edge.
- Solitude. No two sun cells may touch, not even corner to corner.
- The Vein. The vein cells must form one unbroken path between the frame's two notches.

How is Terrazzo different?
There is one puzzle a day, the same for everyone. You do not work through a long list of levels. When you finish, the day is done.

Does the nonogram habit help?
Yes, a little. If you are used to starting with the most constrained line, you already know the key move. In Terrazzo the same instinct points you to the biggest Kinship region, because it fits in few places.

Is it free, and are there ads?
The daily puzzle is free to play. There are no ads, no timers and no account. TERRAZZO+ holds the archive of past mosaics, Stillwater and Solve DNA, and it is free for everyone for now.
Past days in the archive open with keys earned by solving the daily puzzle. The leaderboard counts unaided solves only. That means no hints, no salvages and no seat marks.
What if I get stuck?
Being stuck is normal in any logic puzzle. Step away, and the gap often shows itself when you return.
When you want a nudge, the daily hints come in three stages. A nudge arrives at 00:00 UTC, the Laws in plain words at 08:00 UTC, and the answer at 16:00 UTC. Take the first and leave the rest.
